Braamfontien & Maboneng (Saturday 13 April 2019)

An exciting morning of ‘Street Photography’ in the trendiest areas in Jozi Inner City – Braamfontein and Maboneng.

Experience the hustle and bustle of a trendy Food Market in Braamfontein during set up, explore the surrounding area and capture the new and old buildings – both inside and out.  Head on to Maboneng to capture the streets, people and unique cafes and old cinema.

Date and time:

Saturday 13 April 2019. 08h00 – 11h00.

Meeting and Ending Point:

Option A:) Self Drive: Meet outside the Neighbourhood Goods Market at 73 Juta Street, Braamfontein at 08h00. We will drive to Maboneneg and depart from there at 11h00.

Option B:) Shared transport (the safer option) : Meet at the Killarney Mall Parking lot – outside the Medical Suites. This entrance is accessible from Killarney Avenue, is opposite Dukes Court and on the first floor. Please be there by 07h30 as the Uber will leave at 07h45 sharp. You will be transported between Braamfontein and Maboneng and from Maboneng and back to Killarney Mall at 11h00.

You can expect to be back at your car by 11h30 the latest.  The cost of this is R150.00 per person.

What to Bring :

Your camera gear with a lens that has a focal lengths of up to 100mm (so quite a wide angle option on your lens). Please do not come with additional bags and cameras. Bring cash for shopping and parking on a pocket.

What to Wear:

Comfortable clothing and walking shoes are recommended. Wind breakers come in handy if the weather looks like it will play up.


We will be walking up a short ramp and a few blocks.

Cancellation Policy:

Should there be inclement weather which forces the workshop to cancel, will reschedule.

In the event that you have to cancel for any reason what-so-ever, will hold a credit for you for up to 3 months.

In the event that has to cancel for any other reason, you will be refunded in full.
