Cape Winelands (Wednesdays 10h00-17h00)

A wonderful photographic workshop experiencing the beauty, history, architecture and diversity of the Cape Winelands.


Meander through the beautiful Wine Farms including Lanserac & Spier. Visit a Brandy distillery as well a strawberry farm and enjoy a traditional lunch at Moyo. Finish the photowalk with a stroll through the beautiful, historic town of Stellenbosch and photograph the Cape Dutch Architecture.

Price and Payment Policy –  The price is R1500.00 per person with a minimum of 2 people on self drive. For a fully guided tour that includes pick up and drop off in the Cape Town area from hotels as well as transport throughout the tour, the price is R2000.00 per person and a minimum of 4 people are required.

In order to secure your place, full payment needs be made with the booking.

Location – Meet at 10h00 in the car park of  Mooiberg Strawberry Farm on the R44 heading towards Stellenbosch to photograph the wonderful scarecrows and strawberry fields. The photowalk will finish on the corner of Dorp and Drosty Street in the town centre. (If you select the all included package with transport, we will arrange that you arrive at this address on time for the beginning of the photowalk)

Includes – Professional workshops on location under the guidance of an Accredited South African Professional Photographer. Lunch (excluding beverages).

Excludes – Camera gear and accessories, all beverages including wine tasting, cash related expenses such as parking/gratuity etc and transport (hotel pick up can be arranged at an additional fee). To have transport arranged, please call Leanne on 083 293 7208 or email by the Tuesday evening the latest before the photowalk.

What to Bring – In order to achieve the most from the Accredited South African Professional Photographer, a camera body with a manual mode function is recommended. However, all makes of cameras are welcome. A tripod is essential. (You can rent a tripod on the day from for a fee of R100.00)

What to Wear – Comfortable walking shoes are recommended as well as weather related clothing.

Fitness – A certain level of fitness is required to enable you to transport your own camera bag, tripod and accessories. Although this photowalk is  7-hours, only reasonably short to medium distances are covered.

Skills – None! Photographers of all skills level are welcome. Come Join Us!

Non-photographers – Persons over the ages of 12 are welcome to join as non-photographers.


10h00: Meet at Mooiberg Strawberry Farm to photograph the fabulous scarecrows.

11h30: Head to Van Ryn’s Brandy Distillery to capture the beautifully preserved historic complex on the banks of the Eerste River.

12h30: On to Spier Wine Farm for lunch at Moyo and landscape photography.

14h30: Off to Lanserac Wine Farm for Wine & Chocolate tasting. Learn some tips on still life photography.

16h00: Travel to the town centre where you will soak up and photograph the beautiful tree-lined streets and Cape Dutch Buildings.

17h00: professional photographer will depart.

Cancellation Policy – Cancellations within 2 weeks of the event: No refund will be issued on full booking amount. Cancellations more than 2 weeks before the event: 50% refund will be issued on the full booking amount. In the event that has to cancel the tour for any reason what so ever, a full refund will be issued immediately.
