Landscapes and Composition in Secunda (Sunday 07 July 2019)

Composition is key to taking a good photograph.

Landscape and composition

All of the elements taught during the weekend rely on good composition.

Techniques included are:

  • The rule of thirds – shows off the hero in your photo
  • The Golden Ratio – learn to use the Fibonacci sequence
  • Balancing elements – creates a more interesting photo
  • Leading lines – create a journey through your photo
  • Negative spacing – look between and find the strength
  • Symmetry and patterns . – use these for eye catching photographs
  • Photographing from a view point – show the world differently
  • Create depth in your photograph
  • How cropping creates better composition
  • How and when to use a Polarising Filter

Sunday 07 July 2019. 13h30 – 16h30.

Meeting Place: 

This workshop will take place in Secunda – the exact venue will be confirmed closer to the time.

Accredited South African Professional Photographer that will be instructing this workshop:

Leanne Dryburgh will be taking the entry level photographers.

Peter Hassall will be taking the advanced photographers.

Number of people:

A minimum of 6 people and a maximum of  10 people per photographer – so early booking is advisable.  If this workshop is full, we will indicate here

**If the minimum number is not reached by 25 June on all of the above – thephotowalkers.com will not be coming to Secunda for the weekend and will refund everyone that has secured their places.

Payment in full secures your booking.

Cost:

R500.00 per person.

Take off 10% if you have been on an Educational Photowalk with us before, or if you are participating in a 52-Week Challenge or if you are an active club member of the PSSA.

Less 20% if you book 3 or more workshops during the Weekend of Workshops in Secunda on 5 and 6 July 2019.

Includes:

Entrance fees, booklet, instruction by SA Accredited Pro photographers.

Excludes:

Lunch, transport and refreshments.

In order to secure your place, full payment needs be made with the booking.

What to Bring:

All of your camera equipment and a tripod. (if you do not have a tripod you are welcome to hire one at the cost of R50.00 from thephotowalkers.com). Cash for lunch and refreshments.

What to Wear:

Comfortable clothing and walking shoes are recommended. thephotowalkers.com will communicate with you closer to the date of departure should there any be any inclement weather expected that would encourage additional items of clothing that are not typical.

Fitness:

A certain level of fitness is required to enable you to transport your own camera bag, tripod and accessories. Reasonably short to medium distances are covered.

Skills:

None! Photographers of all skills level are welcome. Come Join Us!

Cancellation Policy:

Should there be inclement weather which forces the workshop to cancel, thephotowalkers.com will reschedule.

In the event that you have to cancel for any reason what-so-ever, thephotowalkers.com will hold a credit for you for up to 3 months.

In the event that thephotowalkers.com has to cancel for any other reason, you will be refunded in full.
