A 4×4 Photographic Adventure across Sani Pass and in to Leshoto.

This Photographic Adventure will be full of “First Time Experiences” as we travel in Land Cruisers with pop-up roofs from Underberg, along the famous Sani Pass and into the Lesotho Highlights. We will visit local Basotho Families for a taste of the homemade bread and beer, travel along the Senqu River (which become the Orange River), many waterfalls and the magnificent Katse Dam – Dam Wall Tour and Botanical Gardens..

There are a minimum of six and maximum of ten people on this tour so early booking is essential to avoid disappointment.

Peter Hassall (National President of SA Pro-Photographers with 35 years experience) and Leanne Dryburgh (Western Cape Manager of SA Pro-Photographers with 27 years experience) from thephotowalkers.com will be teaching photography for this duration of this photo-tour. The types of photography you will be learning about include: food, architecture, portraits, landscapes,macro, time-lapse, night skies, close up, fashion, street, people, transport, fashion and so much more. This is a ‘Colourful and interesting Feast of Photography!’

Our  Sani Pass and Leshoto Adventure Guides:

thephotowalkers.com have teamed up with the Leading Adventure Experts from the area who have lived and worked these mountains their entire lives. They have a great fleet of Land Cruisers and a phenomenal support team to offer you unique photographic opportunities that will way surpass your wildest dreams. This 4by4 adventure takes place in the May – allowing us to capture the ‘real’ side of Mountain living.

Includes:

From Underberg – Transport, meals, entrance fees, camera permissions, two Accredited South African Professional Photographers who will be on hand through out the weekend to assist you, two tour guides and drivers, back up assistance, years of experience in the area and a lot of fun!

Excludes:

Transport, accommodation, meals and personal expenses in Underberg. Airport transfers between King Shaka and Underberg if required. Camera Gear, Alcoholic drinks during the tour (there is a cash bar available) and any personal expenses and unforeseen expenses.

What to Bring:

In order to achieve the most from the Accredited South African Professional Photographer, a camera body with a manual mode function is recommended. However, all makes of cameras are welcome.

A tripod is essential (in the event that you do not own a tripod you are welcome to hire one from thephotowalkers.com at a cost of R200.00 for the duration of the tour). Pre-booking is essential.

Head torches for the evenings.

What to Wear:

Comfortable WARM clothing and walking shoes are recommended. Bring layers of warm clothing – the weather in Lesotho can be unpredictable , so layering is the safest option with a warm ski type jacket to protect you from wind and rain. Gloves, beanies, closed comfortable shoes.

Luggage:

Only 20kg of luggage in a soft bag is permitted plus your photographic equipment.

Fitness:

A certain level of fitness is required to enable you to transport your own camera bag, tripod and accessories. Reasonably short to medium distances are covered while photowalking. If during ‘free time’ you would like to partake in other adventures, additional fitness may be required.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellations within 1 month of the tour: No refund will be issued.

Cancellations more than 1 month before the tour: 50% refund will be issued on any monies paid to date – less any costs incurred.

In the event that thephotowalkers.com has to cancel the tour for any reason what-so-ever, a full refund will be issued immediately.
