Lighting and Posing Outdoor Portraits (Sunday 3 February 2019.)

A very informative workshop for anyone who would like to learn to take better portraits outside. Suitable for wedding and portrait photographers too.


Set in a beautiful Cape Dutch Wine farm setting in the heart of Fourways – this workshop will teach you how to light portraits in hard and soft light using natural light, fill-in flashes and reflectors. We will also teach directing, posing and how to choose the right background.

Models are included.

Non-photographers are welcome at the same price as photographers.

Skills levels:

This is an advanced class and not suitable for entry level photographers.

Camera gear and accessories.

What to Bring :

Your camera gear, a tripod and a detachable flash, A tripod and flash are essential (You can rent either one the day from for a fee of R100.00 each).

Please make sure the batteries in your flash are full.

What to Wear:

Comfortable clothing and walking shoes are recommended. Wind breakers come in handy for photographing at dusk and dawn and pockets are useful.

Should there be inclement weather which forces the workshop to cancel, will reschedule.

In the event that you have to cancel for any reason what-so-ever, will hold a credit for you for up to 3 months.

In the event that has to cancel for any other reason,
you will be refunded in full.
