Low Light and Painting with Light at the Waterfront

A fun and creative evening playing with shutter speed and learning how to keep true colour in low-light at the Magnificent V&A Waterfront!

Through Peter Hassall’s long standing career as the Leading Architecture photographer in South Africa, we have permission to teach photography on this exquisite site as the sun sets and the night life begins. This is not an opportunity offered to many, so save the date and book your space!

On the Workshop you will learn the following:

  • How to photograph at high and low shutter speeds.

  • How to keep you colours ‘true’ at night.

  • How to compose and capture reflections.

  • The Art of Street Photography.

Venue:

The V&A Waterfront, Cape Town. Meet at the ticket sales office at the bottom of the big wheel.

Cost:

R650.00 per person.

What to Bring :

Your camera with a lens that has a focal lengths of up to 100mm. A tripod is essential. (You can rent a tripod on the day from thephotowalkers.com for a fee of R100.00. Pre booking essential.) Please don’t bring heavy bags to carry around as we go to various sites.

Includes:

Permissions to photograph at the Waterfront.

Professional instruction by Accredited South African Professional Photographers -Peter Hassall and Leanne Dryburgh.

Excludes:

Camera gear and accessories, refreshments, and cash related expenses such as entrance fee, parking and gratuity.

What to Wear :

Comfortable clothing and walking shoes are recommended. Wind breakers come in handy if the weather looks cool. 

Fitness :

A certain level of fitness is required to enable you to transport your own camera and tripod. Reasonably short to medium distances are covered while photowalking – but we will be walking up some stairs.

Cancellations up to 1 week of the workshop: 50% refund will be issued.

Cancellations from 1 week to the start of the workshop: No refund will be issued.
