Spring in The Cape (22-25 August 2019)

The whole of the Cape is breathtaking in Spring!

Landscape and composition

On this photo-tour we will meander up the rugged West Coast to photograph the carpets of the wonderful Namaqualand Daisies.  We will then venture across to the delicate Apple and Almond blossoms – the prettiest of the them all. From there to an olive farm and then onto the cellar of the oldest wine farm in the country. Down to the Canola Patchworks of the Overberg followed by the Southern Right Whales and their babies frolicking in Walker Bay.

This is our fourth trip exploring The Cape in Spring and it is always a phenomenal treat. It’s not to be missed !

We have created fixed workshops during this tour to ensure that we cover as many aspects of photography as possible. These are worked around the best light, travel times and meal times. The tour does also allow for free time as the mornings are early as the nights are long.

A detailed itinerary is sent to all bookings once your place/s have been secured.

This tour is based in two of the following towns – Langebaan, Tulbagh or Hermanus – and we travel from there to the others towns on day trips. The primary two towns depends on the number of bookings and availability of the accommodation establishment when the bookings come in. We have done this tour for 5 years now (and scouted the area through our lenses for 7 years) and know the most suitable establishments in all of the towns – as well as the incredibly special places to stop for photographs in the surrounding towns and along the best back roads.

If you have not been on A Whale Watching Boat in Walker Bay, Hermanus – we recommend you do! A Photographer will join the trip and help you with your settings and get you prime position on the boat. This is an Additional R880.00 per person

Through the years we have learnt that everyone has their own accommodation needs and therefore we do not include it in the tour price.

We do however highly recommend that you stay in the same accommodation establishment as the photographers and the rest of the group as we do early morning and late night workshops on and around the establishment. This also allows for idle chit-chat between workshops with the photographers and other group members.

We outsource an  Accommodation Booking Team who do their best to find the most suitable accommodation for you with the group – at the most suitable price.

You have the option Self-Catering or Bed & Breakfast accommodation // Sharing or Single

These prices are based on estimates* – the actual price is dependent on availability at the time of your booking.

  • The estimated* price in self catering per person per night sharing is: R550.00
  • The estimated* price  in self catering for a single supplement per night is: R750.00
  • The estimated*  in Bed and Breakfast per person per night sharing is: R850.00
  • The estimated* in Bed and Breakfast for a single supplement per night is: R1150.00

If you are a solo-traveller and don’t mind sharing with someone similar to you in twin beds – please let us know and and our booking team will try our best to help you.
