Friday 28 May:
  • 07h00 – 09h30:  Photographing Portraits In Natural Light.  Learn to work with back, side and front light.  (Pinelands)

  • 10h30 – 12h30:  How To Pose Individuals And Groups. Get it right! Its very easy to feel ‘lost’ when directing a photograph. (Pinelands)

  • 17h00 – 19h00:  Photographing The ‘Blue Light’. How to balance the light perfectly as it changes. (Southern Suburbs)


Saturday 29 May:
  • 06h30 – 09h00:  How To Photograph Seascapes. Don’t be boring! Many creative techniques and composition tips offered. (Beach to be confirmed)

  • 10h30 – 13h00:  Photographing Your Story – Lifestyle Photography. How to be a beautiful visual story teller. (Southern Suburbs)

  • 18h00 – 20h30:  Low Light & Painting With Light. A wonderful evening teaching many techniques. (Noordhoek)


Sunday 30 May:
  • 09h00 – 11h30*:  Level 2 Off-Camera  Flash. An advanced course for photographers who have an understanding of how to use their flash. (Southern Suburbs)

  •  12h30 – 15h00:  How To Pan. Master this technique in daylight. Its fun and different. (To be confirmed) 

  • 15h30 – 18h00:  How To Make Your Own Photo-Books. It’s easy when you know how! (Southern Suburbs)

* (If you have not done level 1 with Peter, please let us know and we will do an additional catch up lesson before. Price dependant on number of participants)


Who are the photographic instructors?
  • Peter Hassall (National President of SA Pro-Photographers with 35 years experience). Peter Hassall will only join if there are more than 8 bookings.

  • Leanne Dryburgh (Western Cape Manager of SA Pro-Photographers with 27 years experience).

Tripods:

STURDY Tripods are essential on all workshops except on the Photobooks Workshop. They are available to rent at R100 per lesson, or R250 per day.

Maximum and minimum numbers:

A maximum of 12 per lesson
For smaller groups, the time for the workshop may change slightly

  • Camera gear and accessories and cash related expenses such as parking/gratuity/drinks etc.

  • All accommodation, meals and transport.

What is included?

Photographic instruction by Peter Hassall (National President of SA Pro-Photographers) and Leanne Dryburgh.

What should I wear or bring?
  • Comfortable clothing and walking shoes are recommended.

  • Warm jackets and windbreakers/rain jackets.

  • Head torches for night time photography.
